I’ve been taking pictures of dogs for a new scheme recently launched by the QE Hospital Birmingham Charity

Trained dogs are taken in hospital where they visit patents to help reduce stress and anxiety.

The scheme launched last month and has proved very popular with patients and staff.

One of my regular clients for the past 15 years Aston University recently redesigned their Alumni magazine and wanted some creative portraits to illustrate a couple of the stories.

Another very happy client!

Some of my current website and prospectus front pages, shot for education establishments around the UK.
I have supplied education images for over 20 years and have provided photography to some Colleges and Universities since 2003. I am used to working with all ages from nursery up to adult learners.
All images can be shot to fit in with your style sheet, or I can advise what would work within brand guidelines. I shoot all images quickly and with the minimum of disruption to classes.

Monet masterpieces goes on display at the Barber Institute of Fine Arts, Birmingham

Claude Monet’s Water Lily Pond, 1899, is hung in the gallery at the Barber Institute of Fine Arts, University of Birmingham, by Curatorial Technician John van Boolen and Assistant Curator Helen Cobby.

A spectacular Monet water lilies painting on loan from a major US art museum goes on display in the galleries at the Barber Institute of Fine Arts, at the University of Birmingham, this week.
Taking pride of place in the blue gallery from 23 June until 10 September is Claude Monet’s spectacular Water Lily Pond of 1900, on loan to the Barber from the Art Institute of Chicago.
It features one of the most recognisable motifs of Impressionism – the Japanese bridge over the water lily pond in Monet’s garden at Giverny – and is one of 18 versions of this view painted in the summers of 1899 and 1900.

A return to my roots for a recent band shoot.

I used to photograph a few musicians and bands in Manchester when I lived near there, Northern Uproar, Marion, Human League to name a few. Some of my portraits appeared in the NME, when it was required reading, not the comic version we have today.

More info about the band can be found here

Today’s pictures I took of the Duke of Kent’s visit to Wolverhampton have been used by the Royal Family on their twitter account.

Can’t think of a better way to get excellent PR for the nursery.

Last minute job last week for the Racing Post who had commissioned a brooch to celebrate the Queens 90th Birthday. The brooch was hand-made in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter by Alabaster & Wilson Ltd.

The brooch will be presented to the Queen at this weeks Ascot race meeting.
